This is a troubleshooting guide to help people who are getting the error "GPRS not subscribed" on their fake iPhones -- like the sciphone, the hiphone, the i9, the i68, or whatever. This is such a troublesome error and one that can have many causes so I've decided to dedicate an entire page to this particular error for this particular phone.
Below are various causes of this problem along with the related solutions.
The Phone Does Not Have a Correct GPRS Data Account and/or WAP Profile
You will need to create a GPRS data account and a WAP profile specific to your carrier and to your country. I have video guides on how to create these profiles for both AT&T and T-Mobile in the United States. You can follow either of these guides to assist you in creating the GPRS data account and WAP profile and simply plug-in the correct settings for your particular carrier in your particular country. I have actually compiled a list of the settings for various countries and various carriers.
The Wrong WAP Profile Is Activated
The phone uses only the currently active WAP profile. Even if you have properly created a WAP profile for your carrier in your country, you may not have activated it. You must tap on the profile and then tap "activate profile." After doing this, the profile will have a checkmark to the left of it.
One or More of the Settings in the WAP Profile Are Wrong
Doublecheck the settings of the WAP profile. Pay special attention to the Data Account, Connection Type, Proxy Address, and Proxy Port.
One or More of the Settings in the GPRS Data Account Are Wrong
Doublecheck the settings of the GPRS Data Account. Pay special attention to the APN -- it must be typed in correctly.
You Created the WAP Profile on the Wrong SIM Card
This problem will only affect dual-SIM phones. Select Services > WAP > Settings > Select SIM, and then tap on the SIM that does NOT have a checkmark to the left of it. If, after doing this, you still cannot access the Internet, then you should probably switch back to the other SIM card or set the phone to "always ask."
The Internet is Not Provisioned on Your Account
Call your cellphone service provider to make sure that the Internet is properly provisioned and active on your account.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to leave comments or questions if anything seems unclear or if this page helps you solve your problem.
